I love this event and it is a fantastic course. You need it all to win this event, strength, bike handling, technique and really good pace awareness ... the LOT!
I won this 5 times, but the closest I got to beating 2 hours for the 51 miles was 2.01.13. Then Tri -bars, Discs etc. arrived and finally my old mate Gethin Butler broke the "magic" 2 hour barrier with a storming ride.
