Probably the best athlete Dave has seen whilst coaching. When Wendy joined Dave, she hadn't ridden the track and within the year, she was National 3,000 metres Pursuit Champion and the World Cup Pursuit Champion.
She was ignored by the BC for the World TT Championship, even though in the same year, she won the National 10 mile Championship, the National 25 mile Championship, the Rudy Project Championship, and a 25 mile PB of 54'31" ! On the International scene she won time trial stages in the Danny Boy 2-Day, the Ster van Walcheren and a 3rd place in the Tour of Brittany. She also finished third in the Classic "Chrono Championois" ...Just an amazing year. PLUS she was also unbeaten in EVERY domestic Time Trial whilst under Dave's coaching! She has now joined the BC as a part of the WCPP.
Dave really hopes she reaches her potential, which Dave believes should be a Rainbow Jersey or an Olympic Gold. She certainly has the ability ... WATCH THIS SPACE!
