TWO BAD WEEKS !

- BUY IT !!!
Well, I have to say, I've had better fortnights than the one just gone.... First there was the "big freeze" and I couldn't get out at all because our lovely council failed to put any salt on the local roads and there was just no way you could ride the bike on sheet ice !!! So I was stuck on the Rollers and Turbo for days.. Doing 5 hours split into 2 sessions one day!... Then after both Chris and Holly went down with the Flu , despite having had the "jab".. I had opted out of the jab, and felt quite superior as I seemed to have escaped the dreaded virus.. That was until about a week ago when I woke up and COULDN'T GET OUT OF BED... Jeez , I have never felt as ill in my life. This was the Flu and a half. I have never had a bout of flu that just took me off my feet. I was stuck in bed for 3 days solid and felt like I was a ghost!!
I finally got to the Quacks and he prescribed some Antibiotics... I am now just a day away from finishing them and I've JUST been out for 2 hours on the road. The first time in TWO WEEKS! It was cold, but just great to be out on the road again.... I'm just starting to feel alive again, but I certainly woudn't fancy another bout of whatever strain of Flu that was ..
On a happier note, I now have my new Miche wheels for the new Viner .... and the new Viner should be here this week after a delay at the sprayers. (My fault for asking for some customising in Blue!!) . I simply can't wait. I've got all the equipment waiting for it and I've been sort of planning a more active Sportive season for myself next year, with some Italian Gran Fondo's thrown in.. I've never ridden a "Fondo" yet, so I'm going to ride the Nova Colli . the Pantani and the Gimondi at least .. Peter Cole is the head of sales for Viner and he lives in Italy which is handy !! Viner also have the most successful Gran Fondo Team in Italy , so I should have some fun... I had quite a quiet Sportive season this year, but REALLY want to do a lot more next year. I am also about to organise a "La Marmotte Training Camp" in the area and around the actual route for some time in June ...
I STILL HAVE THAT HBM FOR SALE, AND AT THE PRICE IT'S GOING FOR, I JUST CANNOT UNDERSTAND WHY IT HASN'T SOLD..
THIS IS GENUINELY AN £8,500 BIKE GOING FOR £3,000 ..
PERHAPS CHRISTMAS IS GETTING IN THE WAY.. BUT JUST TAKE A LOOK AT IT IF YOU ARE IN THE MARKET FOR A NEW BIKE... I'M JUST GIVING IT AWAY !! THAT BIKE DESERVES A GOOD HOME !!!!! SEE THE PIC BY RICK ROBSON....(ACE CAMERAMAN!)
Well, I'm going for an hour on the Turbo to loosen off...
